Background
The Randalls site is at the foot of a Metamorphic range. It has been identified as a mixture of Ecological vegetation classes including heathy dry forest, and grassy woodland. This area is particularly significant for it’s contribution to reducing salinity emanating from the metamorphic geology above.
Objectives
The objectives of this project are primarily based around water quality protection, due to salinity reduction. The project also offers moderate biodiversity benefits, already having a significant population of native grasses, and very minimal weed problems.
How we implemented this project
This project has been fenced, vermin have been eradicated, and the site was direct seeded (2006), The site is being monitored for germination.
