Background

The Kyneton Project is located on basalt plains North of Kyneton. It falls at the juncture of a plains grassy woodland, and grassy woodland EVCs. The site provides a link between areas of existing remnant vegetation.

Objectives

The ecological objectives of this project are primarily based around biodiversity, with most significant benefit being the linkage between existing remnants, however the site also offers water quality services.

How we implemented this project

This site was direct seeded, using a diverse mixture of locally indigenous seed, it is being monitored and may be augmented with additional tubestock plantings. Weed and vermin control are maintained as a component of ongoing management.
